I was wondering, and it is a weird one. Sometimes I think this whole hormonal imbalance has made my mind wacked out!
Has anyone ever experienced muscle spasms that are in the vaginal wall area. It sorta reminds me of a kegal exercise, but you are not controlling the situation. It also reminds of what a seizure would feel like. If I do a kegal exercise it will bring one on sometimes. Got to admit I should not have any weakened muscles down there. But it really bothers me. I just started having this since I seen my doctor last time. I go to see her for my pre-op on Tuesday so I will talk to her about this among the many other things then. But I feel like I am gonna hear "what else is wrong with you woman?".
I was also wondering if anyone has heard of or experienced a shooting type pain that goes straight upwards in the vaginal wall towards the cervix. They are sharp and are consistant. I had them the last couple of years and 2 of the doctors I had been seeing told me they never heard such a thing. I know when you have certain problems that hurt, the doctors dont seem to think that they can be possibly related (not that it isnt all in the same area!) but they said basically it was impossible. I feel if it has nerves it can hurt, and if it can feel good, why cant it feel bad!?
My list can go on forever as far as symptoms that are strange, I have one dr say it is related to another problem and that specialist will say that it is related back to other origanal problem. Ahhh
Where does a person go! Atleast I have my sisters.
Just curious, do we have a vent board for women to complain about husbands giving us a hard time cause we just feel bad and they think we are just playing it. I can see it is going to get interested when DH wants to all the cooking cause he told church he can handle all with 2 small ones and a teen.
That is not weird at all. In fact there have been a lot of threads on just that very thing. If you do a search of flutters you will get a lot of information on others that have had the same thing. I have had them too, a few weeks after surgery for several days and they went away for a long time and then they came back again. They do seem to be like muscle spasms. I am not a dr. but all the body parts and things have been moved around and adjusted and then have to go back into place after the bad organs are missing, it is no wonder that things like that happen for some time afterwards. The sharp pain too.
It sounds like you have a SDH (super darling husband) on your hands there! Enjoy!
The spasms and pains you described are what I have had since I was a teenager. I have always had a tipped or retroverted uterus, and with each of my four pregnancies, it became worse. Now it is extremely retroflexed, which means it is tipped very far back, on my rectum, and it has a bend in it. I think that these sort of spasms and pain are common for my condition.
I am having the same trouble and frankly it is beginning to freak me out! My hysterectomy was over two years ago, so why is this happening now and what is it? The spasams just won't stop. This whole "experience" began about 5 days ago. Any ideas?
I had them prior to TAH/BSO and still have them after. I asked neuro about it when I talked to her about having other muscle spasms in other parts of my body. She gave me requip because I have severe restless leg syndrome. But I twitch all the time too. I told her about the vaginal thing and she looked at me like I was nutty. So nothing there. There are not so bad since I started the requip. But it has only been 4 days. I do notice that doing kegel excercises make it kick in though. It like starts a spasm attack. Let me know if you have any luck as well. I know this sounds strange, but hey I am on a roll so nothing else gets weider. Sometimes when I have those spasms, I have noticed them rectally also. I am afraid to ask anymore dr's. Dont want anymore weird things stuck in my body, unless they have a name and a cure for these things. Good luck. Keep in touch!
