Sudden bleeding??? Not heavy...bt hurting...13 days post op

Hey all...az here guess I need to repeat my stats ea time since I don't have the signature thingy.... TVH 1/13, cystocele, rectocele, and bladder lift repairs....

Anyone experiencing off/on bleeding with back pain? I had a sudden bleed tonight with some pretty potent back pain. Granted....I had a full day....no rest....but I didn't LIFT ANYTHING...promise....was up most of the day without laying down at all....then had daughter's band concert and ran to Walmart to get some groceries. DH went with me and I rode in one of those carts....so WHY am I hurting/bleeding? Will just the no rest cause it?

I did have a pretty challenging BM earlier today, but no bleeding directly afterwards. It almost feels as if the rectocele just moved up and to the right. So that now instead of the bulge being in my perineum (which there is a small one when the rectum is full)....the bulge has shifted to my butt cheek???? Feel like the weirdest ape on this planet....

Gonna go to bed now...guess I should...it's almost midnight here....Daughter is having sleepover/birthday party tomorrow....I pray I have the energy....

Hello az-
I can't advise on the other things you had done as I only had a TAH but I'm sure another sister will come along that can help out with those questions.

I am worried that you may be overdoing it. You are very early in your recovery and it sounds like you are out and about a lot. Reading the threads it seems like a lot of us experience spotting for a while, but I'd say that sudden burst of blood along with the pain deserves a call to your doctor just to see what he/she says.

Get some rest girl! There will be plenty of time later to run around.

Thanks for your post cadillac....I probably am overdoing just a bit. I'm one of those type As....and it is VERY difficult for me to rest period. I am guessing maybe I was just up on my feet and at the computer too long yesterday. I should have come straight home after the band program. I am steel feeling crampy and gassy this morning, but the bleeding trailed off quickly. So maybe I just overdid the muscles a bit. If it continues, I will give doc a call.
