Eight weeks - What a journey

Eight weeks ago today, my life was changed forever.
No more monthly cycles, no more cramping that would never end, no more back aches, the list goes on.
This is been an incredible journey and this site has been awesome.
I have worked 1/2 days the past two weeks and I will begin working full-time on Monday. I am a little bit scared, cuz I still get really tired. I find that I do okay and then poof, I am exhausted. I feel like a flower that is beautiful one moment and wilted the next...
The Dr. says this is normal for the first six months. Two down and four to go.
I can already tell that the surgery was a success!
How is everyone else doing?

Feeling better!

Hey there!

Sounds like we're about in the same boat! Some days I can get quite a bit done, others not so much. I work part-time normally, so I went back to work after 4 wks -- big mistake! I feel much stronger now and more emotionally stable.

My TAH/BSO was for cerv ca, so I actually "felt" better prior to surgery as I was having no symptoms (thank God for the pap test!). But I'm looking forward to feeling even better in the future!!!!

We're gonna' save a ton of $ on those "monthly" products!

Glad you're doing well, too!!!!!

Eight weeks - What a journey

Hi Emelia
I'm glad you are doing well. I experienced this at 3 months too, going strong one minute and completely done in the next. I found I did best when I would make myself stop when I hit that point of exhaustion. In time it has continued to get better. I wondered if it ever would.
That was so nice of your dr to come out and tell you that it would take the 6 months, so many leave us wondering. Thanks for letting us know how its going.
