Lack of appetite
2 weeks ago I had a TVH-BSO and have not had much of an appetite since. I am curious if anyone else had experienced this. I have lost some weight, which is great, but would like to know why this is happening. Before the surgery, I ate way too much. :confuse:

Lack of appetite
Oh, gosh, me too! My surgery, total ab hyst inc. ovaries, etc., was two weeks ago today to be exact, and I still have to make myself eat. But how refreshing it is to be losing weight and still lying around all day, huh? I'm curious too to see if many are like us.

Lack of appetite
I lost my appetite too.I've lost almost 10 pounds. The only thing I could eat was canned fruit. I'm still eating it. I have been eating a little better the past two days.

Lack of appetite
I was the same! About 4 days ago, my appetite woke up and now I'm eating everything in site. Told my doc about this and she laughed and said that's exactly what my body needs right now. I lost 60+ lbs in the past 18 months on weight watchers and have been stressed about gaining during this time. I'm just not going to worry about it, and deal with a few extra pounds in about a month or so!

Lack of appetite
I had surgery 2 and a half months ago and still have no appetite. Didn't have one before because of the pain. Now I'm just plain sick to my stomach every time I eat. Even vomited. Don't now what it could be now. Hopefully, this will all pass too.
Take care all,
SNSHINE

Lack of appetite
i was in your shoes also for about 3 weeks. lost about 20 pounds. unfortunatley my appetite came back as did the weight!!! i think it has a lot to due with the anesthesia and the hormones getting all wacked out. it takes quite a while to get all that anesthesia out of the system. also some pain killers will kill the appetite as well as the pain. just eat what u can and be very sure to drink a lot of water. the body can go a lot longer on less food than less water!!!! everytihng will come back if there are no complications.

Lack of appetite
I've been the same way. It's one week since surgery. And I've lost 10 pounds. Heck of a way to lose weight. I am more thirsty than I am hungry. And slightly neauseous a lot. I only take one pain pill before bed, so don't think it's that. Nothing sounds good to eat! Fruit!!!! Great idea.
