Looong sleeping ovaries wake-up with HRT?

Hi,
It’s now more than 3 months post-op and my ovaries are still sleeping. I’m on estradiol 2 mg that helps but I still have insomnia and some heat problems. Does anybody know if HRT will prevent the ovaries from starting their own production? Has anybody had their ovaries kick-in after more than 5-6 months? If you are on HRT how do you notice your ovaries are working?
Was it hard to wean off HRT? Did you do it very slowly? I’m still hoping things will work out but I’m slowly realising that this might be my menopause even though I’m only 44. Thank God for this sight it’s because of you that I still have a small hope.

It is hard to tell how long it may take for the ovaries to wake up, as everyone is different.

Here is an article on ovaries waking up:

I don't think that the hrt will interfere with the ovaries waking up, but you might ask the dr about this.

If you want to wean off it is suggested to wean off slowly so as not to have bad side effects. You might want to discuss this with the dr , he might be able to give you a lower dose or show you how to lower.

I would give the hrt time to work and your ovaries time as well. The first year after a hyst is time for healing and you may want to be on the hrt for some time before you try to get off.
