Trigger Point Injections

I've had several rounds of trigger point injections in my lower-right abdomen for chronic pelvic pain... it never helped me - each time, I had more pain for several days following. Some people do get relief - I've heard of cases of partial to full relief from approx. half an hour to a few days... I don't know of anyone who has had a longer duration, though. I hope this helps... anyone else out there have a better track record with this procedure?

Trigger Point Injections

My neuro has offered them to me for neck and shoulder pain. But he told me that for some people they work for a few days, some a few weeks, others forever. As there is pain for a day or two initally, I have never been brave enough to try them yet! Yesterday, I would have! I hope you find more information about them. My neuro recommends them for chronic pain, but there is no guarrantee.

trigger point injections

Yes, I had a series of three several months post-op. Yhe first was excruciatingly painful, second not as bad and third we had trouble locating the precise point and missed it on one side. I am one of the lucky ones who received longlasting terrific pain relief from them. It was done August, Sept. and Oct. 04 and after several myofascial release bodywork sessions , I have full pain relief of what was diagnosed as intra-abdominal adhesions. I would repeat it in a heartbeat if ever I require further surgery that results in adhesions. Good luck! Shelley

Trigger Point Injections

I have trigger point injections for pain in the ligaments near the tailbone on right side....these injections for me bascially seem to ease up some of the irritation and inflammation for a while, but never has completely removed the pain....I would say they would be worth the try when all else fails....has anyone mentioned Botox injections for pain? I was referred to get one, but my insurance turned it down....I know that some neurologists are doing these injections for pain relief.....it has been helpful to many from what i understand..but if ins does not pay can be expensive...but lets face it,,,what is the price of pain relief?? nothing is too expensive for that....
