Thumbs down - can't stop peeing can't stop peeing

It's been a year since my vaginal hysterectomy and I'm on Femhrt since then. Just recently, well a couple of months, I can't make it to the bathroom without peeing a little in my pants. Everytime I lay down on the couch to read or something, I feel like I have to pee all the time. Think there's something wrong? And can you help? Thanks, Becky

can't stop peeing

Becky, I feel the same way. I took my kids to the dentist and had to pee 5 times in the hour 1/2 that we were there. I do drink alot of water but I still think that is alittle much. I also can not hold it like I used to so when the urge hits I gotta go. I don't know why? The Dr did have to clean alot of scar tissue off my bladder hope he didn't mess anything up.

Thanks for replying, I'm going to the doctors on Tuesday and see what's up. I'm sure he'll have to get a urine test. I'll post what happened when I know. OK?

can't stop peeing

becky,
I'm glad you are seeing your doctor - I too have that feeling of having to go all the time - it is frustrating. Let us know happens Tuesday.
Tasha,
Your bladder may just be irritated from the surgery - give yourself more time to heal - hopefully it will clear up on it's own. Remember to take it easy while healing - I know it's hard but you only get one chance to heal. Have you tried AZO - it helped me when I was recovering - it takes pain away and some of the urge. Hugs and healing wishes.

can't stop peeing

I had to go pee all the time before my hystero because of the pressure of the uterus and the large fibroid. It is so much better now, my DH is totally amazed at how far we can travel now without having to stop. Hope you get it taken care of soon, that can be so distressing. Hugs- Cath

I had that and it turned out to be a bladder infection.. I was surprised because I didn't have any of the burning, just peeing all of the time or feeling like I had to pee.. Get some cranberry juice and get to the doctor and you'll feel better in no time.

Tasha, It's been a year since my surgery, so I think I'm healed, but thanks anyways. I bet I do have a bladder infection and my bathroom is on the second floor, so I'm really getting my exercise. (ha ha)
