Smile - My Intro My Intro

[font=Comic Sans MS]hello, new at this so I hope I am doing it right! lol

here's a quick rundown on me:
endometriosis since 1990....3 miscarriages....3 kids
periods and pain over the last 15 years have been bad and for the last almost 7 years (since my last child was born) has gotten a lot worse. my blood counts/anemia have been off the charts. had a stroke in june of 2005 which freaked the docs out because i had no "risk factors"--i just turned 40 but was just a little overweight, non smoker, no family history, good cholesterol, ets. further testing revealed a genetic heart defect called Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO) which is a hole that should have closed up as an infant. crazy stuff. the great thing is had they found this over three years ago i would have had to have open heart surgery and now they can patch it by a technique similar to a heart catheter by going through the veins in the groin in the leg.....so that makes me very happy
but my heart doc wont touch me until my "bleeding" issues are cleared up and I am "healthier".....so I get to have my hysterectomy on 3/14/06. I am happy and scared at the same time......

Looking forward to no more "aunt flo" and pain and misery....if there really is such a thing.......but scared to death of the HRT and the sudden menopause

Anyway......brand new to the site....looks like i have a LOT to look at and read....wow, it's quite overwhelming....but i hope to learn a lot!
Thanks!
Ronnyann

My Intro

to Hyster Sisters, Ronnyann!

We're happy to have you join us! There's always room for another Sister on this site.

If you would please add your March 14, 2006 surgery date to your profile using this link, you'll be all set to join the other Ladies-in-Waiting over on the Pre-Op Hysterectomy Support message board. You can ask any questions you have there and get input from members with experiences to share.

Best wishes for your upcoming surgery and recovery! We look forward to getting to know you!
