Anybody else notice.....

This is very strange to me and I was wondering if anybody else noticed....I am a Native Floridian, born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale, so I love the heat or use to! Before surgery, for me, anything under 75 degrees was considered cool, anything under 70 degrees well that was just plain cold! Since this surgery I have been able to tolerate the cold so much more, in fact when we have been in the mid to high 70's this winter I have been welcoming the cooler 40 degree nights and the low to mid 60's for daytime highs. I am not only tolerating it but the temps that I found myself putting a coat on for in the past, is now perfect for just a long shirt or tee shirt now. This is truly strange for me! Anybody else notice a difference? I am scared for what my body is going to do in the summer in the blasted 90's! I am wondering if my hormones are uneven and that is why the cooler weather is feeling so good. I do run about a one degree higher for a body temp. since surgery! I do plan on getting in April a full blood work evaluation to see where I stand since surgery. 's to you all!

Anybody else notice.....

Hi!
I was raised and currently live in south Georgia, right on the FL/GA border, so I know what you mean! I also have had the same reaction to the weather since surgery. I LOVE the cold now, as it seems to calmingly cool down my always-too-warm body. I think this has everything to do with hormones. Even though I'm on apparantly the "highest dose of estrogen" that you can be on, it's not quite enough (although I don't know what could be enough when you go thru surgical menopause at age 22!). I am still plauged by hot flashes and night sweats, so I welcome the cold weather with open arms. I also noticed that I sweat now since the surgery, although it's just clear and not bothersome and thank god, no unpleasant smell, but I NEVER sweat before my hyst. So that's weird.
I just wanted you to know that you're not alone!
Take care,
Christina
