It's 5am and I'm wide awake

I have been holding off on HRT till all of my symptoms have shown themselves. But I think this insomnia is going to get the best of me.

Donna,so sorry you are going through this. I had a TAH in May 98 and my ovaries removed April 2005. I lasted 8 weeks before I started on HRT. I
should have started sooner as the benefits to me have been great. No more hot flashes or nigth sweats, less emotional outbursts and a resumed feeling of general wellbeing. Good Luck. Remember you are not alone. Sue

I can't really help with this as I still have ovaries. I did have night sweats for about 10 days so can sympathise a bit. I take Black Cohosh which is supposed to be good for menopausal symptoms and it is herbal. I know I will hit the menopause a few years down the line so have started to take supplements now. I still wake at night to go to the loo, but not as often now. Just wanted to send you a really. Hope you soon feel better.

Hi! I too just had hysterectomy, but because I had experienced menopause of sorts when I had Lupron...I told doc to start me day one on Prempro. Yet, my temp. gauge is way off. Either too cold or too hot or in a pool of sweat. I am thankful that my mood has not been too awful..but hubby has been real supportive. I am up with ya too and hope and pray we will find some rest together
