Does Stress effect Estrogen?

If you become highly stressed over life events, can it cause fluctuation in your estrogen levels?
I've suffered a lot of stress this past week and it feels like my estrogen levels have dropped...the same symptoms.
The only other change to my life is replacing the generica estropipate with brand name Ogen.
Thoughts?

Does Stress effect Estrogen?

Hi Stress can definitely cause us to use estrogen at a higher rate, which would result in lower estrogen levels given a fixed dose of estrogen replacement.

Some ladies do experience a difference in effect between name brand and generic HRT's as well, although usually the generic is less effective, not more.
