Anyone else dripping in sweat?

Hi,
I just gotta know if I am the only one that has sweating as a part of my symptoms. I am constantly dripping in sweat these past several months. My shirts get soaked under the arms and I deoderant has not effect at all, I even have a strong odor. This is not normal for me, and the dr.'s don't respond to it with any concern (GP and GYN)

I also wake up at night with my head soaked. My armpit hair is growing much faster than normal, faster than my legs. I could shave twice a day If I wanted to.

I also have these little red pinpoint dots on my chest and stomach...kinda like a very small mole, bright red. Not rash looking at all.

I am wondering if my ovaries are shot, or if I have cancer (my lymph nodes in my neck have been enlarged for months too) or if I am just nuts!! I keep trying to find answers...

Anyone else dripping in sweat?

I'm on my second injection of Lupron and have noticed increased hair armpit hair growth. I'm also experiencing more frequent (2 xs per night) night sweats.

Could it be your age - perimenopausal?
Or - are you on any drugs to prep for surgery?

Anyone else dripping in sweat?

I am 31, and I am taking thyrioid med, asthma meds (sigular, albuterol) and plaquenil for an autoimmune disorder that remains undetermined. None list symptoms I am having.

Can you go into menopause early? I found it strange that all of these symptoms started just before my baby was stillborn in Sept. I was dripping with sweat as they were doing the ultrasound, they said it was my hormones. I have wondered if it had something to do with why my body couldn't sustain the pregnancy.

hmmmm...just makes me crazy trying to figure it all out, I wish the dr's would just be able to worry about it, but I have realized that I have to advocate for myself, too many problems with dr's have caused me serious problems.

Anyone else dripping in sweat?

Man oh man oh man does this ever describe me! I'm pretty much OK during the day - I carry a fan and when the flashes strike (I am on Lupron) that works. But at night I am in a pool. I haven't slept in weeks - covers on and sweat, throw them off and freeze, cover up and sweat . . . I've tried valerian, chamomile tea, warm milk, and bourbon. Yesterday I had my pre-op and asked my doc for enough of something to healp me sleep to get me through until Monday and she gave me Lunesta. Last night was my first night and the situation was a little better but still not the deep restful sleep I had hoped.

I wish I could go to sleep now and wake up when it's all over. This anticipation is about to kill me.

I'm in a sweat too! I have a small fan on my desk at work and it blows in my face all day long. At night, I wake up soak and wet. I have to change my gown, dry my hair, change pillow case! I'm older than you though - 45! My doctor put me on HRT for it and said I was in menopause. It has helped but not fully! I don't have the hair growth problems. Good luck on your surgery and for the rest. Hugs.....Frenchie

Anyone else dripping in sweat?

Thanks everyone,

Well today, to add insult to injury, I am having hot flashes!! All of a sudden I felt like someone had put heating pads all over my back and neck..I called my mom (who is 52) to see if that is what a hot flash felt like and she said yes.

It kept happening all day, I am past miserable, bad pelvic pain, hot flashing, sweating, and of course the big belly that keeps creeping farther and farther up. I am wondering now if the ovaries that my dr. is planning to save are shot.

Tommorrow is my pre-op, I am going to mention it all then and hope they will help me!

Anyone else dripping in sweat?

Betts,

I thought it was strange for me to be having what I called "night sweats" before I even had my hysto... I had three BAD ones, where I actually had to wash my sheets because of how much I had sweat. Since then I've had my hysto, and I haven't had one episode like that. I am on HRT tho... so I wonder if my ovaries were shot beforehand... because when they removed them, I was told they had endometriosis on both, but also they had holes in both of them... Not sure what that means, but will ask at my 2 week check up.

Twizz,
I am glad you shared that with me, I will be curious to see what the dr. finds when he looks at my ovaries. I can't imagine feeling this way with healthy ones. He said he was going to try to save them, but I didn't get the impression that he would perform heroics if there was too much endo.

I told my dh that I was having hot flashes, and he got all irritable about how HIS life was never going to get back to normal. He is lucky that I am not strong enought to punch his lights out, I love him but come on!! Sorry, had to vent there...I am getting really good at venting!
Blessings,
betts
