Hi,
Sorry that I cannot offer any insight into your exam. (Could a polyp be felt by the docotor and could he determine that it is a polyp during a physical exam or would he need imaging?)

Anyway, please know that I will be thinking of you and praying for uneventful results.

I had my first surgery in 2000, removal of right ovary/tube, Borderline later staged as Stage 1A...2nd surgery in 2004, this surgery done by a GYN/ONC, removed my right ovary, tube and uterus. I now have a complex cyst in my left pelvic region. I am on the 2 month wait and see program. I am scheduled for another US, blood test and doctor visit. The GYN/ONC believes it caused by Ovarian Remnant Syndrome. Not a very common occurrence, but, there are ovarian cells left behind after surgery that become functional. Not only have they begun to produce cysts, but, my FSH, follicle stimulating hormone levels, barely have me as menopausal.

The waiting is the worst for any test or news. Here's hoping that this is something other than caner--stool or something benign that's normal for you. I sometimes say that knowledge is power--you and the doctor will know what this could be and that puts you in control of what to do next.

If it is stool, the barium contrast they give you for the CTscan should take care of that!

Thoughts and prayers are with you that your CTscan will show benign results.

Blessings,

Jeannie
