can a hematoma burst?

hey girls. i have a really quick question. last night or actually early this morning, i was walking through our house on a bathroom run, and i totally crashed into a dining room chair. it was pulled out from the table, and they are black. i didn't even see it coming. it brought me to tears. it got me square in the abdomen. i was surprised that it got me so hard, or maybe i am just really sensitive...? i am really sore this morning. i have no other signs of injury. i see the doc tomorrow. is this a big deal? thanks again. h

Hi time2grow I don't know if a hematoma can burst or not. If the pain gets too bad I would recommend that you go to the ER or try to get a hold of your dr before tomorrow. I hope the pain goes away soon. Please keep us posted. Carol
