Pathology report - Finally an answer!

I had been holding out for my 6 week post-op check to get this report. I did not want to find out that everything was healthy while I was still fighting emotional imbalances due to surgical menopause, but I gave in today. I'm glad I did. I feel better knowing that I made the right choice.

It clearly states that I had fibroids, ovarian cysts, cysts on my tubes, and extensive adenomyosis.

Now I can get on with my life!

Donna,
I am so happy that you got a satisfying answer to what was going on! I know that is very important to me as well.

Blessings to you as you begin your new life!

Pathology report - Finally an answer!

what is the pathology report? The cyst on my ovary was biopsied during surgery. It came back negative/clear. I assume that that is the pathology report. I see my surgeon on Thursday. Should I be asking for a pathology report?

Pathology report - Finally an answer!

I got mine from the pathologist at the hospital lab. Your Dr should be able to get it for you too..

Me Too!

Donna,
I am exactly two weeks post-op, had my first post-op visit to the doc two days ago and the path report came back with extreme adenomyosis with fibroids. So you and I had been walking around as if we were three months pregnant! Can you feel a difference and if you do where do you feel it? I feel a great relief in my lower right back--that is that place that was most sore after the surgery. Did you have a lot of fatigue before the surgery? That was one of my biggest complaints, besides the fact that I had to pee all the time and had constant lower back pressure--and forget about PMS-ing! Anyway--yay to us! Hope you continue to do well.

Pathology report - Finally an answer!

Julie,
I bled for about 7 months straight. I had cramps that were equal to labor pains. They put me down and out for days at a time. I had "normal" cramps on the days that I did not have the bad ones. So for me, the TAH was instant relief from that pain. Even though I am in some pain from my surgery, it is NOTHING compared to what I had before. I had no energy, I hurt all of the time so my mood was really bad. So I'd have to say I feel the relief mostly EVERYWHERE! yay!
