Bladder problem.
Yes, it is possible for a prolapse to occur this far out, but please don't get alarmed about it, because it MAY just be stress incontinence (I say "MAY" because that can be a nuiscance and bother and give symptoms similar to prolapse pressure). As there are no "girl bits" left in to hold the bladder in place any more, it's kind of "freewheeling" and the pelvic floor muscles become weaker as we age. Only your URO/GYNO can diagnose for sure what is the problem, and then you and he/she can discuss options. I had a double prolapse (& adhesion lysis) 8 weeks after my LAVH, then 12months later had a TVT (& adhesion lysis again!) (Trans Vaginal tape) inserted for stress incontinence. My GYNO said that he could see a small cystocele (bladder prolapse) at the time of the TVT, but it wasn't alarming and he thought I'd had enough surgery for a while. It may never need repairing, but it may - only time will tell, and if it interferes with my life, he will fix it. The TVT has been, and continues to be, wonderful. My lower abdomen and "undercarriage" were tender, not sore, for a few weeks, but the result is great!! The op. itself is sometimes done in day-surgery, and there are a lot of posts on this site about that, or you can type in "TVT" in Google and find out a lot more about it - that is if that becomes an option for you. For me - Dry nickers!! Please see your specialist for a diagnosis and opinion as to options. Most of all, and I know this is very difficult, try not to panic or worry overduly. Best of all good things to you.

bladder problem
Bladders what can we do? I hear of a lot of women even up to 10 yrs having their bladders repaired. I had my hyst 2 10 06 and have felt not right down there. More leakage than before the surgery. Dr says it is stress from moving everything, am taking $$$pills to help it. I hope 10 yrs down the road I don't have to get mine pulled up. But it seems very common. Do those Kegel exercise!!!
