9 Weeks Post Op-Compare Notes

1 week after surgery I had "old blood" discharge which my DR said was normal but I have noticed an unfresh odor. The discharge progressively slowed down to nothing this week. Has anyone else experience this.

I came back to work at 7 weeks, took my thankful husband out for a spin and had intercourse at 8 weeks. Intercourse was not painful at all but a few days later I started to experience pain in my abdominal and lower back areas. I am now at 9 weeks. Was it too soon?

P.S. I think we should get a note from our DR's telling our husbands we must be excused from sex with a specific date of "return to duty". I think my hubby thought I was avoiding him for a while.

Did your Dr. release you for sex? If so only you can judge if you are ready again to give it a spin. All I can say even if you are get release you are still recovering....it takes up to a year and some even longer to recover from this surgery. When I got released for sex at 6 months I always got achy the next day in my lower pubic area, and even though that has settled down, I still get achy at now almost 10 months post op if DH and I get to out of control.
