How long will belly swelling last after TAH?

Hello. I am scheduled for a TAH in early May. I am so anxious. I have cleaned everything possible in my house, nervous energy i guess, and I am still looking for things to do. I am really glad I found this website. You all have answered a lot of my questions. One question I have is about the belly. My belly swells huge now premenstrual, so how long will the belly sweling last after TAH? I know no one knows for sure, but has ANYONE out there quit the sweiing? Thank you so much.

I did not have a TAH so can't help you too much in that department. I had an LAVH and still have some slight swelling at 7 months post op but have other digestive issues going on that could explain that. Hopefully someone who had a TAH will come along to share their experience. I had a TAH/BSO and it took a few months before my swelling completely diminished.
