Just got back from my 6 week post-op visit with the Dr..... got my "get out of jail card".....


I have to say this has been a very positive and uneventful experience.... I feel truly blessed to have gone through this process with no complications.... Have very high praises for my Dr....

And to top it off, I have even managed to drop a few pounds while in this "slug mode" for the past 6 weeks... Get to start back exercising also...

I am scheduled to go back to work on Monday... Will be working either half day or shortened days for the first week...

"We now return you to your regularly scheduled program"

Congrats to you!!! Starting off on short or 1/2 days sounds like a great idea!! I go back in a couple weeks and its 3rd shift...maybe I should ask for 1/2 days to start..hmmmm, thanks for the idea! lol

Congrats, definitely go with the half days and remind your self you are still healing. I'm in day 4 back in the real world, misbehaved day 2 walking down the halls like nothing was wrong with me...plumped right up like a ballpark frank. Strolling the past two days and getting back into the swing of things.

Congratulations! I got my time off extended to at least the end of April since I am still working on healing my incision. I am happy to hear that you lost some pounds, too. I am trying to get myself motivated to get back to eating correctly as of April 1st.
