Wink - Tuneful Tuesday, 4 April Tuneful Tuesday, 4 April

Morning!

My youngest DD is certainly tuneful this morning, will NOT shut up! She'll sing all morning, and in the car on the way to school, it's like having a bee in your ear!

Breakfast ~ yogurt and banana
Lunch ~ wholemeal toast and a bit of cheese
Dinner ~ ratatouille (kids are having )

The gym is out for this week, as DsS borrowed money from me, hasn't yet paid it back, DH is going to pester him today as it's not on. I'm getting a bit fed up of this lending lark, makes me wonder why I bother to work!!!

This long walk with Billy challenge is going great, my friend said last night that it looks like his weight is starting to shift, he's put on a bit of weight recently, which is no good in a dog, so we're walking it off with extra long walks, it's doing us both good!
Candy is excluded from this for now, as she can't leave her pups yet, although she's slimmed back into shape lovely!!

Right, off I go to after feeding the monkeys , they're certainly tuneful this morning!

Have a great day, folks!

Tuneful Tuesday, 4 April

Morning Fran and all who follow...

Well, yesterday was a much better day for me. I took notice that I have a tendency to eat way too many carbs... and all the good ones. So this week I'm making an effort to steer away from them & focus on healthier foods. So yesterday was better... today will be even better... great pep talk here I usually plan my days, but somehow veer off into "carb land"...

Did some yard work over the weekend... glad I got it in then as the weather certainly changed. And, made it to the gym yesterday... lower body workout & I definitely feel it today. I'll be back at the gym today for cardio...

I am back to my lowest -- 167.5 -- and my next goal is 165. I'm doing small chuncks as it seems more attainable right now. My work has been doing "WW meetings at work", and they are now having it at the building I work in... so I may look into that.

Well... I got a busy morning... still needs to stop off for a birthday present... one of my team member's birthday is today... found a great card, but couldn't find flowers last night. It was just getting too late to continue to look... so my mission this morning is to figure out a b'day present.

TaTa & have a great day everyone!!

Hi Fran Sue and everyone else yet to post or read!
Congrats Sue and good luck getting to your next goal.
Fran, walking is the best exercise for everyone........dogs and people alike!

Well, today is a Curves day and a day where I must be stricter with my 1200 calories. I had the munchies yesterday and when I weighed myself I was up .4 pound............first time I was up before I lost my 2 pounds since I started this yo-yo metabolism dieting thing. I need to get in more water as well. Very cold and blustery here and I am wondering what happened to that srping weather we were having. I need to get out of the house and walk and enjoy the outdoors. Have a great day everyone!

Morning Fran, Sue, and all of BEST Land

Weather can't make up it's mind to rain, snow, or simpy remain . But I don't like the cold temps. Missed my gym class. I could have made it, but himmed and hawed around to deliberately be too late to make it. Day started out with an argument with oldest DD. Stupid stuff - normal. Can't wait till her house is ready.

Bkft: kashi Go Lean Crunch w/1%milk. Will have coffee in a bit.
Lunch: planning on a seafood salad
Dinner: Salisbury steaks, with brown rice and green veggie (salad maybe?).

I'm considering dropping my membership to the gym. It's getting so I truly can't get there. I don't like the machines except for the treadmill and the eliptical. I love the step class but its offered only 2x's weekly in the daytime, and those times are difficult for me to make. Wastes an entire morning if I go. I pay a LOT per month not to use it....money would be bette spent elsewhere right now. Still debating....haven't lost a pound. I am still exactly where I was 1 yr ago last April (184). I only lost that 10 lbs (down to 174)after starting the step class (dropped anything else) and working outside doing HEAVY yard work - lots of sweat. I can do that at home this spring, right? LOL

Anyway - thanks for listening.
Sue? I also stray to the "carbside" of the universe for some reason. I think that in a former life I must have been a because I like to graze on grains!

Have a good one ladies. My taxes are done!

Thumbs up - Tuneful Tuesday, 4 April I know that I am not alone....:)

It is a great feelign knowing that there are others ready to share how they approach their healthy eating and living each day.

I ran a report on Fitday.com this morning...I figured since I has been tracking my intake and activity since late Feb, that I would be a good time to check in. My average daily calaries was 1244..never below 1100. The ratio of nutrients for the month was 29% fat, 22% protien, 49% carbs with 18g of fiber per day.

I met all the RDA for vitamins and minerals except iron. I will try to increase or add an iron supplement. I would also like to try to increae my fiber to 25g/day to assist with BM's.

Today, I went back to my walks - 30 mintues this am. Darned cold but DH went with me.

B- shreddies, craisins, 2% milk
L- grilled WW sandwich with chicken, pesto and roasted peppers and a mixed green salad with tomatoes, coffee
D- roast beef with horse radish, lima beans and mixed greens salad, cranberry juice.

Keep focused and keep smiling...see you tomorrow.

Jacqueline, As a woman you should NEVER go below 1200 calories a day. Men should NEVER go below 1500 unles instructed by a physician.

Hey everyone! Busy, busy, busy!! we all seem that way today. I left home at 8am today and got back home about 3pm. Started out this morning at the chiropractor, 4 days in a row. Expensive! But what chose do you have? Got to get the "old" back straightened out. At least I can stand up straight again.
It has been an errand kind of day, ate out twice. Tonite is weigh in, but I'm not going to weigh in. I may not even go to WW tonite? I don't know. My friend wants us to come look at their new pool this afternoon. That would mean get back in the car!!! We live so far out from everything. Tomorrow we are going to the Aquarium, then Thursday we are leaving to go camping. So I probably won't post for awhile. The weather is beautiful! nice to get out and enjoy it! Well I need that good ole' kick in the proverbial you know what! I read on WW the other day is the main reason we hit plateau's is because we get comfortable with our programs. Once comfortable, it's easy to let your food slip a little bit. I think that's where I am, plus a few weeks of your body rebelling and you feel like throwing your hands up! I know I can't do that, but it is what I feel like right now! Anybody else on that same boat? Melissa, you mentioned hormones? Are you ovaries gone? I havent even thought about going without them. I want to cut out a bunch of meds, like the diruetics. How much water do you have to drink to not retain water? Did that make sense? Well I've gone on and on, so I will check in again later. Enjoy the day ladies!!! sharon

Thanks Em

I know that I should not have such low calarie intake. This is the montly average and includes, when I had little appetite in the first 2 weeks post-op. Tracking has helped...if I haven't had at least 600 calaries ater lunch then I ensure that I have a mid-afternoon snack. Ongoing adjustments...the feedback is appreciated.
