Testosterone Question

Hello my sisters,

I have (another!!) question. I have been having the following symptoms: vaginal dryness, lessened libido, (still pretty good though) and my nipples don't have as much fun as they used to.

I went to the doc, and she said my free testosterone was on the low side, and I got a script for 2% cream (from the compound pharmacy) and an estring to wear. She says the vaginal dryness is caused by lack of testorone as much as not enough estrogen.

I am currently on .9 Cenestin (which I have been using for a couple years, with good results) and the progesterone cream from this site.

Any insight for me ladies? I am supposed to appy the testorone every other day to my labia.... I would appreciate help from anyone with experience with this. I don't want to raise my estrogen, so this is sounding like the way to go....

Testosterone Question

Hey AnnZoe,

Good for you! It seems you really are in tune with what's going on.

In my experience, once I started the testosterone I noticed an immediate return of overall skin sensation. For me, I got in the shower and suddenly the shower felt so good. I hadn't realize that my skin hand become so numb! I felt alive again! I'm also realizing some increased sensation in my nipples as well. That had been gone since WAY before my hysterectomy. I believe my testosterone had been low a long time before my surgery.

I apply the testosterone to my labia about every 3rd day. That's what my doc and pharmacist said to do. Make sure you know from your doc how often you should use your testosterone first and then you can use it "locally" at some frequency from there.

Good luck!

All the best,
~Lilbelle
