Sharp Pains Anyone - Post-Op

Have any of you experienced sharp/shooting pains in the abdomen area, above the incision. I am almost 4 weeks post-op with a TAH. I am worried, wondering if I should call my Doctor. Its a busy office and they just dont seem to care much.

I'm sorry you're hurting. At 4 wks it isn't ususual to have some twinges of pain, but sharp, shooting pain doesn't sound right to me. What have you been doing? At this point you really shouldn't be doing any lifting and even being on your feet too long could cause you to hurt. If you are bending and pulling or doing any of the other please stop and get off your feet and rest.
I think you should call your dr too and ask about this. I know that is frustrating when they don't seem to be sympathetic. You don't have to apologize for calling, you are paying them to care for you and you should be proactive and make sure your concerns are addressed. I hope there isn't a problem. Please let us know what you find out.

i definately agree, slow down and call your dr, sharp pains do not seem normal recovery stuff to me.
