Wink - Monday April 17 Monday April 17

Hello all
Well I didn't do too badly yesterday- a few chocolates and lack of exercise but the day went well.

Today I am off to the gym in a few minutes and DH is already out for his threatened run! He has decided to go through one of his detox periods. He eats very little the first couple of days, except for some tablet things and a shake type of meal. No caffeine at all or alcohol. I have said I'll do that side of it but I am not starving myself and I hate those milk based drinks, always have even as a child I hated milk shakes. After two days it does include a low cal meal. I am not looking forward to it as he is always so miserable and also smug!!!

So for me I've had wholemeal toast with spread, lunch will be salad and fruit, and dinner is pasta with bolognaise sauce.

See you all soon

Hi Marianni and all who follow today...

Yesterday was just another beautiful day & DH & I opted to go for a ride versus going to the gym. We did some off road riding & let me tell you...what a workout!! I had to stop several times as my legs were burning & had to catch my breath. I felt like I got a better workout doing that then the 6 months at the gym. So we are going to make sure to do this at least once a week to build up endurance. Riding on smooth pavement is a piece of cake and not as much a challenge... but a good way to cool down.

Food yesterday was good... breakfast was a cheese omlet -- made with lf cheese -- and we split that with turkey sausage patties. For dinner I had a small piece of ham, some mashed potatoes, fresh bread & greens. I made Krusteaz fat free brownies for dessert... nice little treat. DD came over & we had a good time.

Today is a busy one... chiropractor & then the gym. As far as the gym goes, I'm not going to sign up for the trainer after this group of workouts ends...which will end my dilemma for now. The weather is nice & I'd rather do my cardio outside... and hit the gym for strength training.

Well... gotta get going. Wishing you all a great day.

Morning!

Well, this morning is the first morning that I feel like I have had my sleep out. We put up DDs new triple bunk bed yesterday, she's really thrilled. I need to get her a particular duvet cover that she wants, but I don't know if it's open today, with it being a bank holiday ???

Breakfast ~ activia yoghurt & banana
Lunch ~ ? not ready for it yet anyway
Dinner ~ ? will take a peek in the freezer shortly

I managed to survive yesterday with 4 choccies, I didn't buy many eggs, as they can't eat that many choccies, and Billy is always sick, as much as I shout at the kids not to give him any.

The puppies are really well, I've nearly stood on them a couple of times, they are everywhere! Hopefully they'll be rehomed soon!
Right, off to do some more jobs, how I wish this house would clean itself..........(dream on)

Have a great day, folks!

Hello all,

I hope everyone has had a great Easter weekend . I have not been good at all in the past couple of weeks OP wise and not helped either by too much rich food yesterday. OH bought me a huge egg too (:doh so I am thinking that if I leave it lying around, ds may sneak bits from and save me from the chore or eating it ... I just wish chocolate wasn't my weakness .

Today hasn't started brilliantly foodwise as we stayed at oh's but I am now home and on green tea and detox tea for the rest of today. Lunch will be crackers with lf soft cheese with a bit of salad and dinner to be decided. (maybe tuna pasta??)

I have more hedging bushes to plant plus have to re-plant some rosemary bushes which I shall be starting on shortly. I do take it steadily and ds has helped me with digging and parts I cannot manage. I have always loved gardening and am so pleased at the things I've managed to do so far this year. This will be my excercise for the next few days.

On thursday I am going for food allergy testing which mum has organised for me at her local health food store. I'm not sure what exactly it involves yet apart from taking an over-view of my general health, diet and possibly skin-prick blood testing which should then reveal if there are any food allergies and give suggestions on what to do if anything shows. They say it doesn't replace medical treatments but it could be interesting too I hope. The tester is an independant who's been invited to the store to do this too so I'm somehow more comfortable with it. We'll see and I am a little excited by it too!

Good morning ladies! I never did you Marion so I hope everyone had a nice holiday! I did ok not great but better than I thought I would. Sometimes my stomach just yells that it is full and I stop eating. I will take a walk with DH tonight when he first comes home from work. Then tomorrow my daily walks begin with my neighbor. Water has been no problem because of some of the saltier foods I had this weekend. I did well on the candy front........only some sugar-free jelly beans. I did have a big piece of cake but after all it was Easter. Off to do the so later gators........

Today is a beautiful, Spring day and I'm relaxing, enjoying this last day of my long week-end.

Food's still not good but I'm planning on going on a detox for 10 days as well as as a low-carb diet for a few days to jump start me on my weight-loss program. I'm also getting my bike ready for my daily commutes. Until then, I'm going back to Curves for the rest of the week.

Hi everyone,
I just finished reading posts from Thursday on. Llyn, I laughed out loud to read of your missing bra !!!
Bliss, I hope your recovery is going well.
It sounds like everyone had a good weekend. We did too. It was busy but good.
I have NOT been very OP but the jelly beans are gone and my chocolate is gone, so I'm good for the rest of the week and will be OP. I am so puffy from the salty ham so I am drinking more than the required water for today.
Emily, it is so great to have a partner.
Have a wonderful OP day!! Best

Hi All,

Sounds like everyone is enjoying beautiful spring weather. Dany & Sue I need to follow your good example and get a bicycle. We have a wonderful trail system in our county and the bike path runs right behind my house.

Food hasn't been so great. DH & I ended up splitting a pizza for dinner last night.

Tonight will be better -- chopped steak w/mushrooms & onions.

Need to get ready for class.

My post got lost in cyberspace !!!

I posted this morning, but I have no idea where it went. Sounds kinda like my brain in the morning when I am searching for words.

I have been awol for a while, I am sad to say I have been diagnosed with Reactive Arthritis (an uncommon Rhuemetoid)and Fibromyalgia. It has been a rough ride for over six months.

My weight has gone up and down. I am now at a loss of 8 lbs total. And I know that one Easter egg will not hurt me. My mil had my favorite Coconut creme, so I splurged. My diet has changed a lot. I have added one protien bar daily, or a protien shake. I am still eating 3 small meals and 3 snacks, just one snack is the protien bar because of what i need to help the disease.

I miss everyone here and now that I have hit a level of health where I can spend some time on the computer again, I thought I would visit. I just resigned from my job today. I could not do my job anymore, and the forty minute drive was impossible. If I didn't leave, I would either switch jobs if they had one, or they would have to let me go. Fortunately, hubby finally was hired full time at a job closer to home, and he has the benefits and I could leave!!!

Hope everyone's holidays were fantastic!

Good Evening BEST Friends

Another day behind me. And only 12 down and counting till I leave on vacation!! Can't wait. I need the sun, fun, and rum punch!

The weather here was but . My joints are simply protesting about this warm, cold, hot, cold weather. The poor things don't know how to act. I should have been able to come off my celebrex by now for the summer. But not yet.

Tomorrow I go to that ortho doc my auto ins. company wants me to see. I didn't get the papers in the mail yet that the lawyer says I'm to take, so a call tomorrow a.m. is in order.

DD did not close on her house today - the people are still messing around and causing a delay....she's frustrated, poor thing. But it will happen in due time. She (and I) need to be patient. Maybe she'll move while I'm away???? I can only hope!! Less work for me.

Food over the holiday weekend wasn't too bad. I ate too much ham yesterday ( it) and am a bit swollen today as a result. DH made a wonderful sugar free choco pie. Well the filling was sugar free, and we used the LITE Cool Whip topping. I didn't try it, but everyone who had it said it was "lucious". I made a hummingbird cake - too many calories to talk about. LOL I skipped out on the chocolate. I'd rather have the ham or baked beans.

Mary Kay - to you on your diagnosis. But sounds like you've got things under control for the moment. Good for you. I also gave up my job (rather than be terminated) due to my hands and not being about to do my job. Lucky for me they will take me back anytime I am able to return to handle the work load.

Too many post to reply to everyone. Just know that I'm so delighted to see everyone in here. It's like ol home week! My hand are very tender tonight and hard to type without causing discomfort, so I'll say goodnight now. Taking some tylenol and turning in early. Maybe tomorrow will be warmer? I can hope~~

Melissa
