TAH/BSO's and sexual arousal...

Just wondering if any of the women here who have had TAH/BSO have had any problem with getting "wet" when aroused? I'm not cleared for anything yet, but I'm wondering if when it's okay, if my body will likely function as before. I'm on estradiol - 2 mg daily.

I had a TAH, kept ovaries but they were on vacation until I believe this weekend. OMG, I think they woke up and then some. I hadn't had a significant hotflash or nightsweat in a few days so I thought they were coming back from vacation. I woke up this morning (I'm 5 weeks post op today) and I was...well, er, in the mood, so to speak. It was insane. I had woken up from a very vividly erotic dream and was very wet for the first time since my surgery. I think things are working again. I was quite happy. Had the big O, too, but it was different which concerns me. Not nearly as intense as they were before. Will have to see what happens when doc clears me...hopefully a week from today. Should be interesting. (hehehehe) Its countdown time. 7 days and counting....tick, tock, tick, tock.

Since you're on HRT, theoretically there shouldn't be a problem for you in this regard, if this wasn't an issue before your surgery. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. But, it might be a good idea to have a lubricant such as Astroglide on hand, just in case.

So far I have had no problem. My Os are different, too. Not bad, just different, maybe not as intense.

I must say---yes, hubby and I caved in this week (I'll be 6 weeks on this Friday).. my O was soooooooooo intense that it almost gave me a headache!! It has never been this intense before! I actually had 3 O's this week and they all were good. I think I can work with this!

Congratulations to all of the princesses who have posted here! I am 14-15 wks post-op and, unfortunately, they took my libido along with all my insides. My DH has been so patient through this ordeal. I hope one day I can post about the big O, if I ever remember what that is!

I am strange. I am hurting still but I still have the urge. I had my first "dream" last nite. I am only 2 weeks post, I am going to go crazy. I told my dh he at least can self satisfy til we get the ok, but I can't..just not fair...lol
