Update on my hysterectomy

Hi everyone!
I hope you're having a nice Friday.
I went for the final gyno dr appt yesterday with my husband with lots of questions. She actually answered alot of stuff before we even began. I will have my surgery sometime during the 1st week of May. She hasto co-ordinate with the surgeon that did my gall bladder surgery 2 and a half weeks ago because she wants him to assist her. The reason for that is he is a bowel and bladder expert and my huge fibroid is sitting on top of those organs. She is also worried about my right ovary, she assisted him during the gall bladder surgery so she could take a look around in my abdomen. She said I have alot of scarring and ( could be from my cesarian 18 yrs ago and or from my tubligation 9 years ago ) my right ovary looks as though it has attached itself to other parts it doesnt belong to.
So during my SAH/BSO ( lol not sure what the BSO stands for?) her and the other DR are going to do a colonoscopy ( something he wanted to do on me anyway and since I will be out ) and he also wants to take a scope down my throat to check my stomach ( something he was going to do during the gall bladder surgery but another DR had the instrument ) .
I have to do that intestinal prep. Anyone want to explain that more to me?
So the Gyno is hoping for a smooth surgery but seems worried about what shes going to find when she opens up my abdomen. I have had tissue samples taken so I am clear of any cancer at all.
So she figures the one ovary and tube will need to be removed and I will have only one of them left. I am keeping my cervix.
Sooooo I am sorry this is so long ladies. Anyone that has any comments on any of this would be very much appreciated!

HUGS

BSO stands for a very long word meaning you are having both your ovaries removed.
