stomach pain
hello, I am new here....I can't wait for my hyst,I have had heavy periods, back pain, leg pain, fibroids and stomach pain for years. What was I thinking??? I had an ablation several years ago that didn't work, I should have had the hyst then. Non of my previous dr's even suggested a hyst, they just druged me with birth control pills, lupron and said my period would just go away. Then I went to a new dr and she said a women of 57 should't be bleeding like I am. So my question is ......does anyone have stomach pain??? I have had it for years. Sometimes I think I want this hyst to cure all my pain...will it???

stomach pain
What do you mean by stomach pain?
Before my hyst, I had cramps in my lower abdomen for up to two weeks before my period would come. Since sometimes it was really far from my period, it took me awhile to realize it was monthly and related to my period. I thought for awhile I had indigestion, or I was constipated....
Another thing is if your fibroids are quite big, I imagine they could be pressing on your stomach. It's pretty normal for them to press on your bowel or bladder (it did in my case, no more peeing 4 times a night, yahoo!). Does anyone know if they can press on the stomach as well?
The surgery may not cure all your pain, but it should make life so much better! Good luck.

stomach pain
I had stomach pains for years and they were getting worse so I had an upper GI done and the works and it showed nothing . I had my surgery almost 2 weeks ago and the pain is gone .I asked the doctor yesterday about it and showed him that most of my pain was right above my belly button. He said my uterus was not that high or big so he does'nt know what to say . But it is so weird because that is the 1st thing I said to my hubby when I got into my own room at the hospital . So I'm sure it had something to do with it. I don't know if this will help ya because it is a mystery to me.
