Meds to stop before surgery?

Aleve...etc.... I have been taking tylenol, but I really need an Aleve right now.
I should I just stick with tylenol? I have 7 more days till my big day.

Meds to stop before surgery?

Yup, Don't take aleve...it is not worth it. However withthat said, I am not a DR. You could call your anesthesialogist or surgeon. Well wishes

Meds to stop before surgery?

I was told not to take any Aleve or ibuprofen (Motrin) for at least one week before surgery. It can increase your risk for bleeding. But as they always say here, check with your Doc. When you have your pre-op today you could ask. The no motrin is driving me nuts because I have been really crampy the last few days. I thought about taking Tylenol but have just decided to deal with it, by not dealing with it. With surgery tomorrow I don't want to take anything I don't absolutely have to. Goodluck today with pre-op. Other than a lot of time spent answering questions, and getting questions answered, it is nothing to worry about. I will post as soon as I can after my surgery tomorrow. I go at 7:30AM and my Dr. thinks I'll be ready to leave the hospital by 1-2PM.
