2nd Sling Release Over

Hi all! Had my surgery to release the sling yesterday. Urogyn took down adhesions from my urethra and had an overnight stay in the hospital for pain control, but am home today and not feeling too bad.
Thanks for thoughts and prayers.

2nd Sling Release Over

I didn't know I had adhesions on my urethra either until after the surgery. Guess that would be one reason I was having urinary retention, huh?

2nd Sling Release Over

Miss Emma,
Happy to hear all went well for you. How did you feel before the removal? I have retention and uncontrolable urination after they released the sutures from the sling.
I also discovered today a large lump on the one incision in my tummy from the second surgery, they reopened the same incisions for the 2nd surgery.
Anyone have any advise on this.
Good luck Miss Emma

SuzyQ, lots of pain on the left side for me, but what else is new? I was having retention and lots of UTI's but am hoping this second sling release will do the trick.
I hope you feel better!

I am normally retaining about 250 cc's right now, but it should get better as time passes.

Glad you are home and hope you are doing better. It was probably the scar tissue(adhesions) that was keeping your bladder up to high so it could not empty. Hope this does the trick for you and that you dont have to cath for too long. Are your residuals coming down? Best of luck. Sue
