Discharge and Odour???

Hi Everyone

I had my hysterectomy 2 1/2 weeks ago and the last few days I am experiencing some more vaginal discharge and an odour. I had my cervic, uterus and right ovary removed but have kept my left ovary. Due to this I know I still ovulate and my body goes through a normal cycle. My period would have been due this week and I am wondering if this is why I have this? I know before my hysterectomy my odour changed before my period. I really don't know what to expect. Has anyone noticed this? Any advice would help.
Thanks

Discharge and Odour???

I had a terrible odor around the time that my stitches were dissolving, and increased discharge. Look out for stitches, if you see some that could be what is happening.

Discharge and Odour???

I had what I described as an unfamilier odor... (i know haha) and it was an infection, so as many of the sisters have said check with your doctor, 'cause you just never know.

Discharge and Odour???

Hi Sisters!
How long does the discharge last? I am 5 1/2 weeks post op and have a light, odorless discharge. I had LAVH and both ovaries removed?

Discharge and Odour???

Hi mojoy2k,
I had LAVH and both ovaries removed the day after you, March 24, and I still have a light odorless discharge, as well. I suppose this is normal. My DR had said they would be concerned if I was soaking through a sanitary napkin every hour.

Discharge and Odour???

i also had a horrid odor when my stitches were disolving..it embarrased me to no end,and it didnt matter how many times i washed myself, the smell came right back..it didnt last very long, thank god, also, the increase in discharge may very well be due to the fact that you would have had your period thing week....sonie
