Blisters??? help!

Hi sisters,
I am almost 2 weeks post op, after having my staples removed I have started to develop blisters by my incisions?? why is this happening, should I be worried? The blisters are forming right by the steri-strips that were placed over the incisions. They dont hurt, they are just scaring me.
Thanks sisters
Love Angel

Blisters??? help!

I had the same thing happen to me - although I didn't have staples. The blisters developed around the incisions (all 3 of them), and then went away within a week....for me it wasn't anything critial, just a nuisance - I hope that's the case with you too - but you might want to call your dr. just to check.
Hope you recover well!

Blisters??? help!

I had blisters when they removed the bandage in the hospital, was told it was a reaction to the bandage tape. Also was told to put ointment on it and that they would eventually go away. They have gone down and the fluid is out of them, but like incision, need time to heal.

Would check with your doctor to be sure that it is just a reaction to the steristrips adhesive and not an infection.

Hang in there!

Blisters??? help!

I had the blisters from the hospital bandage too, and they went away after about a week. Mine actually hurt like crazy because they rubbed against my granny panties. I'd call you doc just to be sure.

Blisters??? help!

in my opinion,it sounds to me as though, since the blisters didnt start untill you had the steri-strips put on,that its possible you could be having a allergic reaction to them.ive heard of some other woman who have said theres did the same thing..i would call your doc, just to be on the safe side....sonie

Thanks

Hi sisters, thanks for all your support and info. I went to the doc today for my 2 week post-op, he said all looks well and the blisters were a normal reaction to the steri-strips. Thanks again.....Happy Healing Ladies, Love Angel

Blisters

I had the same problem . They were scary looking and my DR wanted to look at them- They were a reaction to the steri strips..... I will have to remember that inthe future.
