I'm just about to start 'all that remains' by Patricia Cornwell
When I've read all her books up to date, I'm going to re~read all the Narnia books, then the last 2 Dan Brown books (read Deception point & Angels and Demons)
Then, I think I'll start reading all the Robert Crais books, I've read Elvis Cole and quite enjoyed it.
That will give Michael Connelly, and a few others time to write a few more books, Harry Bosch is a very enjoyable character.

Hello Fran
You must have read my mind as I was thinking of starting a similar post - I'm reading a library book called "PS I love you" by Cecilia Ahern It has made me both laugh & cry and I'm really enjoying it - it's ages since I've found a novel that I don't want to put down.
My next book is "Heavenly Date & other flirtations" by Alexander McCall Smith - I've never read any of his books but they've been recommended, so I'm looking forward to reading that too.

Hi Helen,

I'm reading something about a kid after his dad's death at the WTC on 9/11. I've just started, it seems to be a bit surealistic, like Tristam Shandy, but not disrespectful.
I have _Easy Over_, by Japser Fforde (of Thursday Next) on order at the local bookstore.

I just finished The Time Traveller's Wife which I loved, and have started on Love Lessons by Patricia Wyndham, the recollections of London during WW2. My friends lent me all her Steven Saylor to read. Must get back into Patricia Cornwell - read a couple a few years back and thoroughly enjoyed them.
Good to know there's another Thursday Next out - must get it!

No, sorry to mislead, it's written by Fforde, but it's not T.N. It's one of a new series based on nursery rhymes, I understand, and I think it's the mystery of Humpty Dumpty - pushed or fell? I'll let you know when I get my paws on it.
If you want something about WWII, try Sarah Water's _The Night Watch_ , but the some of the main characters are lesbian, and it has descriptive sex scenes.

Hello Francine
Thanks for the info on Cecilia Ahern - I will definitely look for the other titles at the library when I return "PS I love you" - I'd never heard of her before but definitely want to read more. Have you read any books by Maeve Binchy? She's one of my favourite authors & I think I've bought all of her books.

Well, I'm not reading anything close to what u all are reading but, it is by Dan Brown. The Da Vinci Code, one of those books u start reading and u cant put it down. I know that it is a older book, but with the movie coming out soon....something to compare it to.
It is one that does make u think about religion. If you are a person that gets offended by authors questioning religion or saying that there is more to it then what it is, dont read the book. if not ...I think its excellent!!
Next book?? Who knows...books pick the person..not the person picking the book....

If you enjoyed The Da Vinci Code read Labyrinth by Kate Mosse, its about the Holy Grail and I think it is more of a woman's book than Dan Browns.
