4-weeks, green light!

Hi fellow sisters! I went to my 4 week post-op check-up today and got the green light for resuming normal activities! Dr. said to douche for the discharge, that my healing looked good, and he'd see me in a year. I asked him if I had to have yearly pap smears because I don't have a cervix, and he said I should get a yearly exam. He said sex will probably be uncomfortable the first time; I don't think I'm quite ready for it yet. I'm going to tell my family that I'm almost healed, just a little more time. Otherwise, they'll expect me to be back in full-on supermom mode today. Here's a for all the rest of you out there in hysterland!

Hi AuntG. Congrats on your positive news! I am with you on postponing the supermom thing. It has been good to watch that my 13 year old can master the laundry, my 14 year old the vacumn and my 15 year old dinner. And, my DH is a king at the clean-up I am going to keep this going as long as possible! Frankly, there is no going back! Hooray for your recovery!
