Adhesion in vagina

Just before my 6 week check up with the family doctor I found an adhesion in my vagina. She has arranged for me to attend the outpatients clinic at the hospital on Friday 6 May.

The adhesion is from one wall to the other. It seems to go from where I had a posterior repair on one side to where the wall bulges out on the other side. (That bulge isn't bad enough to repair.)

Does anyone know what they may do on Friday? Would they treat it then and there? I can't find out much about it and wouold be glad to be forearmed!

Thanks

Margaret,

I am not sure as to what the procedure may include for you on Friday. But I wanted to wish you luck and let you know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Adhesion in vagina

Hi,

I am not sure what they will do. My adhesions were internal. I know that the doctor cut the adhesion and then removed it. My guess is they will try something similar. Let us know how your appointment goes.

Adhesion in vagina

Dear LisaM and robinc

Thanks very much for your kind thoughts and best wishes. Everything went well at the hospital today.

The doctor thought he would cut the adhesion, but in the end it broke under the pressure of a push, so that was good news.

Adhesion in vagina

Margaret,

Thank you for giving us an update on your appointment. I am so happy that the adhesion was taken care of so quickly! I have never heard of an adhesion breaking with a push, but I also had never heard of an adhesion that was as accessible. I have learned something new today...thank you!
