Umbilical bump and vaginal bump

I had LAVH and bladder tack on May 10, 2006. I recently noticed that I have a bump next to my umbilical incision and also a bump in my vaginal area. Does anyone know what this is and do you have any recommendations? Otherwise I am doing fine. I am afraid that maybe I done too much.

Hi ubmusse, I have abump in my belly button near my lap incision. the MD said it was probably a little fluid that formed around a stitch. It has gone down some, but I had my surgery a month before yours, and still have it. It isn't red and it doesn't hurt. I am from Ohio too! Rest and take it easy. I think I probably have overdone things this last week, it is so hard to know how much is too much! Take care! Carolyn

When you say bump in the vaginal area do you mean at the base of your incision about on your public bone? If so, I just notice I have that - it is tender and feels odd - I too was wondering if that was normal. take good care.
