Need your prayers/positive thoughts, please!

My hyst was devastatingly postponed as my newly suspected bleeding disorder was being tested to pinpoint which type it was. I am in a great deal of uterine/cervix/pelvic pain and Vicodin only takes the edge off.

My hematologist's nurse called to say he would call tomorrow. She said the surgery should be able to take place and he'll explain what the tests showed. Hopefully he has found what type of disorder I have so they can prepare me for surgery so I won't hemorrhage like I did with D&C (for 13 days after I bled like crazy!!!).

I'm so mixed up and on such a rollercoaster with this postponement and worry about bleeding disorder (although I've told all my family it's not big deal...I'm kind of scared). I really need support that I can handle what he tells me tomorrow, and also that the surgery will happen on the 2nd of June this time. I'm totally afraid to say surgery is on that day because I don't think I could handle having it put off again. I take three to four naps a day and I hurt ALWAYS. I need relief that surgery will provide.

Could you please keep me in your thoughts tomorrow? Or if you feel okay with it, I could sure use a prayer or two. Thanks so much!

Hi Julia,

I'm sending you positive thoughts and prayers from out west in Oregon. It sounds like you are having a tough go of it and it must be so difficult to have your surgery postponed AND be in such pain the meantime. I was in no way the pain you are (basically out of it with Vicodin sp? ) and had to also postpone mine two weeks. Once surgery was over, it was all worth it. It gets better!

You hang in there, and feel free to post before and after. We're here for you, sister!

Thank you all so much for your wonderful support and prayers! I just heard from the hematologist. He doesn't have a lot of answers for me. He said my tests are all over the place, probably from bleeding almost daily for 11 months. He told me what it could be, the medicine he wants me to have before surgery, how they'll give me platelets if I bleed more than I should, and how they'll monitor my blood counts for three days after surgery to be safe - to make sure I'm not bleeding internally. He will do re-testing in 3-4 months when my body should really be done bleeding, and starting to recover from all that stress on my body. He thinks we might get a better, more accurate diagnosis then. He thinks the surgeon will now agree to do surgery, especially since they're being so safe. I'm still afraid to be confident they'll do it on the 2nd, but I think now I can relax a little and have a little bit of hope.
