I had a bad day yesterday

coming up on week 4 LSH the surgery was so great it was to good too be true. very little pain. incisions look great very small, however I am having a lot of problems with this swollen belly. It had went down in week 2 and I was so happy and now it looks like I just had the surgery again. I heard from some many people this belly stay this way up to a year or so. I notice I did a lot of running around so may that is what cause it to swell so much please help me. I don't know what to do. can anyone give me a few suggestions.
oh by the way I started the spotting in week 3 the Doctor said that was normal and its been about 9 days and I am still spotting. I also notice I get really tired if I do a lot of walking and my hips starts to hurt. well I will stop complaining now it could be worst. Good luck to you all and any advice will be appreciated.

I had a bad day yesterday

I'm 8 weeks out LAVH/BSO. I still swell and spot a little with a lot of activity. The doctor assured me it's okay. He said the swelly belly and fatigue are the last to go, but will go eventually. I've tried ice, heat, support panties, salt restriction and lots of water and the only thing that really seems to help is to lay down and rest. Slow down when you can and wait. That's straight from my doc's mouth. I have noticed it's not quite the swelly belly it was last week so I think there's hope. Good luck, hope you're feeling better soon.

i still get very tired very easily, i find that i just come home and sit on my booty LOL. i'm thinking of asking my dr for a b-12 shot and maybe that will help the fatigue.

I had a bad day yesterday

Hi Lynn I am 4 weeks post LSH and BSO. Today was my first day back at work and now my belly is so swollen. Pain is not bad I still get some wierd pressure type pains and still get very tired. Seems like I have a couple of really good days then a really bad one. I imagine tomorrow may not be a good day. I am spending the rest of the evening taking it easy, I told my husband dinner was up to him tonight! Good luck with your recovery. Missy

I had a bad day yesterday

It actually takes many weeks before your body is completely healed. So it is not uncommon to have spotting and swelling several weeks down the road as you are getting back to your normal routine. The more you do, the more your body might protest.

Stay in touch with your dr and let him know if your systems worsen or you have bright red blood.

I had a bad day yesterday

I`m 2 weeks post-op.... Been doing pretty well. However, lesterday afternoon i noticed pain on my right lower side and ran up into my belly-button area.. Just really hurt. Things healing??? Today, now is much better. Guess every-day is different. When we think were doing really well, things can go bad also.
