inconsiderate Husband!

Hey everyone its a while since i posted and i just thought id catch up and let u know about how i'm doing....Physically and mentally im fine..

I still have severe pain with intercourse and my husband just doesnt get it....he says god its 7 months now surely things should be healed by now..

I really am so over sex anyway that id rather stay up and surf the net than get in to bed and be harassed for sex. I feel like a such a cow and now all we argue about is sex (the lack of)

I am at my wits end thinking maybe we should just split

Hi Debbie,

I'm so sorry you are still having trouble. Perhaps you need to return to your doctor and discuss these problems before taking such a drastic step as to split up. There has to be a reason why these problems are occuring and you need to have everything investigated and if your doctor doesn't help find one who will.

Wishing you all the best..........Karen

If you are still having pain maybe you should talk with your Doctor and discuss that maybe there is something else going on.

Shame on your husband for not being more understanding. You need to remind him that in some women it takes up to a year to heal.

Try to remain calm and remember that he is a man and he doesn't know what we as women to go through. Bless your heart I hope that things get better for you.

inconsiderate Husband!

I was married for over 20 years to a man who thought of no one but himself. I finally got the guts to divorce him. It was the best thing I ever did! Everyone has to make their own decisions and weigh the good against the bad and see how it evens out. I hope you are able to figure out what is best for you! I am only 4 weeks out now, and I have a wonderful new husband who is willing to wait as long as it takes for me to heal. There are good men out there who are considerate of their wives. Best of luck!!!

Before you think about splitting up why don't you give your Dr a call. You should be checked to make sure you don't have any problems with the vaginal cuff or any other reason that can be causing pain with intercourse. Discuss your lack of interest in sex with the Dr because there are things that can be done to help. Sex is a normal and vital part of someone's life. If you had a good sex life before surgery your DH probably doesn't have a clue as to why you are uninterested now and is probably concerned about the pain. Men don't verbalize as well as us women and his concern comes across in a negative way. All marriages take work, don't throw in the towel. Call your Dr and get the help you need so that you can start feeling better soon. 's

i'm sorry to hear what you are going through deb, but you know where to come for comfort. it sounds like your husband should have been pre oped. we can't blame him for the lack of knowledge, but we can blame him for the lack of COMMON SENSE. he sould know better. he has alot of nerve stressing you with that after all you've been through. i'm sorry for his ignorance.
