Do hormone creams cause weight gain?

Just curious, will the hormone creams/gels cause you to gain weight? Especially testosterone?

I've never gained weight due to using hormone creams. I don't think it matters so much the delivery method of the hormones but rather if the hormones are balanced. If our hormones aren't balanced we can gain weight, but we can also gain from eating too much and not exercising enough, or if we have other health issues such as thyroid problems, etc.

Too much or too little of hormones can cause weight gain. It's not necessarily from the hormones themselves, but from an imbalance of the hormones.

Be sure and read the two articles that April Dawn has linked to. They are very good and provide a good explanation about weight issues following a hysterectomy and menopause.
