Can't loose weight!

I hear you....same boat......my stomach is huge and my surgery was 18 mos ago. I've always been a pretty thin person and now I've got this stomach that looks like I'm pregnant. Actually had the nerve to wear a 2 piece to the beach today and I looked like an idiot. I'm wondering if adhesions [scar tissue] could be the cause. I know someone who had to have adhesion removal because it was invading the surgical site. What are your thoughts?

Can't loose weight!

I am thicker in the inner thighs also, my chunk is not at the incision site because both my incisions [2nd from the surgery to correct the knick in 2 places!!![loooong story] ... are way low also. I have 2 theories: A. adhesion growth which is very common after hyst. OR B. metabolic changes after hysterectomy. Any thoughts??
I'm heavy no place else however, so metabolic shouldnt be likely.
all i know is I cannot button any of my clothing from last summer and I'm bumming.

Can't loose weight!

If I eat another carrot, I'm going to become a rabbit! I left the hospital 30 pounds lighter then when i entered due to my arterial bleed, etc., but began to put the weight back on and then some about 6 to 8 months post-op. All i know is that it is not coming off, I walk atleast 2 miles a day, deprive myself of food that i love went off white sugar completely, and still the scale wont move. There HAS got to be a solution.

Can't loose weight!

Could it be that you're not eating enough One of the things I've learned, over the years, is that you need to eat in order to loose weight I know, I know: sounds silly... the thing is that if you don't it enough, your body thinks you're starving (doesn't matter if, like me, you could live off your fat for a few days ) and starts stocking up. It's part of our natural survival instinct.

The trick is to eat enough to fool your body into thinking you are not starving, while ensuring that you don't eat too much. And that's where exercising works.

One thing that works for me is to eat plenty of lean protein, along with the fruits and vegetables.

Can't loose weight!

Right with all of you girls....60lbs heavier with a built in floatation ring that's huge! Had I known that it would be like this, I would have suffered and not done gone through with the TAH. I absolutely disgust myself these days.... I am so desperate that I just ordered phentermine and am starting to take it today. I don't care if I die trying to lose weight, at least I'll be happier with some weight off.
Sad attitude, isn't it?

Can't loose weight!

Not sure what to say regarding the diet pills you mention because I have contemplated them also....but with my luck, my heart would explode and my 2 kids would be motherless.
I'm about 4 days into a no white sugar/white flour, lotsa veggies and less meat diet, plus alot of walking so I'm going to see what happens....I've read many articles on the "whites" being the major builders of fat stores in the body.
Just gonna keep moving and stay really active and drink lots of H2o.
Cannot even contemplate a new bathing suit this summer.

Can't loose weight!

I maintained weight the first few weeks than put on about 2 KG(5 pounds) which has stayed put. i am back to exercise, work etc fully and I eat well. I believe my metabolism has changed. I mentioned it to the dr who said that estradiol only doesn't cause weight gain. It is stable which is a blessing I guess but i worry about it increasing in the future.
