Mississippi

Hello Sweetlilreb,
Glad to hear you are doing so good at one week. I agree, this board is the best. I read some of the post every day if not more than once a day.

I will be three weeks post-op tomorrow and I am finally beginning to feel like normal again. Went out on my own for the first time yesterday and it felt sooo good to be out even if it is freezing.

Merry Christmas!

Hi, all you Mississippi ladies!
I live in Starkville, but grew up in Tupelo, which is where I had my surgery, TLH (with some other work) about six weeks ago. I had a great doctor and excellent hospital experience there. I had a lot of endo, so I'm still feeling pain in my ribs and abdomen, but good otherwise. Path reports showed beginning of cancer, but not spread, so they got everything and no further treatment is needed, praise the Lord! Hope to be feeling better before school starts!

Re: Mississippi

Hey ToadallyTodds, iona4, and Msmac,

I am almost 4 weeks post op and doing very well. Still with gas pain here and there and can feel EVERY type of large colon movement, but I'm making it! Thanks for the prayers. I hope the other Mississippi women are doing great, also!

Re: Mississippi

Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery! I tell you, that colon thing drove me crazy. It was probably the worst part of it all and the Doctors don't seem to pre-warn you to expect it. It should start lightening for you soon. One day I woke up expecting the daily colon upheavel and mysteriously it just went away on its own. Then thats it. You start to feel like yourself again and want to do things and the Dr. is no no no, just a few weeks longer. Where you given a girdle thing to wear for 6 weeks? That helped a bit with the gas. Anyway, I've babbled on so don't forget to try to walk around as well, thats another help but I'm sure you're in no mood to hear any lectures at the moment. Glad to hear you're feeling better and I'll give you another prayer that you keep feeling better each day. All this writing I don't recognise myself.
Hugs xx
