Newbie here with some questions about prolapse

Hello everyone, Found out this site by others who also visited here. It's a God send.

My GYN said I have a uterine prolaspe II.
She wants to do a removel of the uterus and cervix along with a uterosacral suspension.

My question is:
If I did nothing , not even having a pessary would it just get worst in time?
Has anyone here have all of this done?

Here is a link to the Prolapse section of our Resource Database: http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/sho...d.php?t=256755. The first source is a forum for women with prolapse that might have some very valuable information for you. Best wishes!

options

Hello. I don't know how old you are, but there are other options out there for uterine prolapse. I am 33 (today) and also have a uterine prolapse (stage 2 or 3) along with cystocele and rectocele of similar stages. My GYN also told me I needed a TAH to repair it all. I went for a second and then a third opinion. I am now not having a hysterectomy, but different surgery. My GYN is teaming up with a urologist to do an anterior repair with a bladder sling. He will also do a posterior repair and a uterine suspension along with some procedure that I have no idea how to spell. (Moskivitz??) I wanted to preserve the possibility of having another child. I suppose what I am saying is that you have every right to seek a second (or even a third) opinion. I would do it if you are unsure of what you want to do. Good luck and let us know what you decide.
