My say would be yes! I had a beer at just over a week in hopes to motivate my bowels (and I wasnt taking pain meds at that point). Enjoy!

Wine?

I had two glasses last night. I have only been on motrin since my second day and off of that now. It put me sound to sleep, and I feel fine today. Must say did this on my own but assumed since off meds it couldn't hurt.

Wine?

Georgia2: What's with the a glass of wine????

How 'bout 'several' glasses of wine?? ok, maybe not several but a couple of glasses of red wine is good for the soul, the heart (check out all the studies!)and definitely helps reduce the stress level IMHO.

However, if you are at all worried, do check with your dr and I'll bet they say go for it!

May I suggest a lovely Australian Shiraz...2002 if you can find it

Wine?

No narcotics at all since 18 hours after surgery. 1st day home, DH brought me a glass of wine, and all has been well (i think every night since, too!) One caution... some people have been known to have reactions to ibuprofen or tylenol plus alcohol. I've never had that problem, but... Check with doc, especially if you are unsure

Wine?

We always drink wine with our evening meal so I never even considered NOT. And yes a good Australian Shiraz would be at the top of the list. We also enjoyed a very fine bottle of South African Shiraz last week.
