Just threw out my pads, yipee
Can not believe that it took me this long to throw out everything!
Had them everywhere, bathrooms, cars, purses, luggage and closets. Did not want to be caught without one ever. I also had motrin stashed in all the same places! Gosh, I lived my life around Aunt Flo. Today I started planning a get away for hubby and me. Guess what I did not have to plan around! Ah, freedom ... it is finally hitting me now! When did you feel it was really over ?

I know what you mean. I went to change purses the other day and found tampons stashed away. Then it hit me, I don't need these things anymore. I gathered them all up and sent them over to my sister. Now she is the only one in the family that needs them. My mom and I are hystersisters so we don't need them! Once I shed the 10 lbs I have gained over the past year and this swelly belly goes completely away I will officially celebrate this newfound freedom!
Let the party begin!

I plan on asking my doctor's nurse if she knows of anybody that can use them. My doctor volunteers some time at a Women's Crisis Center and maybe he can take them there. I know he keeps some at his office because I had to come in there wearing a pad over my incision when the serum pouch was leaking and he would give me extra.

Same here. No further need for them. Yesterday was the first time I did not have to use liners even. And now that it is summertime, it feels so much cooler...just the cotton gusset and me.

I too found them hidden in pant pockets, zippered pockets of all my purses, my carry on luggage, etc.
I gave them all to a younger friend who exclaimed "My lord..I've never seen tampons that HUGE!' She of course just uses 'regular' while I was up to the super duper and super duper delux at the end...with a pad...or two.
I just turned 55 and was looking forward to 'Freedom 55'..I thought it meant retirement but this aint bad either!

This is soooo funny!!! I am finding pads and tampons everywhere too!! I have been putting them in my daughters bathroom as I find them and she keeps saying "look mom the pad and tampon fairy came to my bathroom again" She is 15 and may have enough to get her through college. She also asked me who was going to be the "Tampon mom" when volleyball season starts. The whole team knows that I always have the stash in my purse. My DH is happy not to have to make emergency runs to the store for me any longer. Gosh...who knew I would be so excited not to have Auntie Flo visit anymore.
