belly button pain???

I don't know what kind of surgery you had but I had a TAH and lap surgery at the same time. Yes, I got some pretty hefty pain around my bellybutton in between the 4th and 5th week. My doc said it was mostly like to the sutures dissolving and things moving into place. I went back to elastic waist pants rolled down around hips (like the teens wear, lol) and bikini undies for about 5 days and then it was healed. GYN said same thing for period pains I had just before the bellybutton thing started. I guess when all of those stitches start dissolving things shift and move into their new permanent home. Thank goodness it all doesn't happen at once or I would have ended up back in the ER.
Hope you find things better soon.

belly button pain???

Still normal to get belly button pain with garments. I need to ease your mind a quick call to Dr. will help. As for the period feeling, well it just may be your PMS if you kept your ovaries. If you had PMS before your surgery most likely it will continue monthly if you kept ovaries! Is it coninciding with when you should have "Started"?

belly button pain???

I don't know about the periods, but HECK YES I'm having belly button pain.

I went to gently scrub there during my shower and WHEW did it feel tender and "twingey." I would assume this is partly because I am stretched out like I'm 10 months pregnant (not kidding) and my poor button probly can't take it.

Hope your pain goes away soon!

Julia
