Last visit from Aunt Flo!(Thank God)

My hysterectomy is scheduled for June 27 and I just received my last visit from ole Aunt Flo! She made it just in time! Lucky me. I was worried about having my period for the operation. I don't know why. Also, my sister is getting married a week from today and I didn't want to have "that" to deal with too! I'll have enough annoying relatives to deal with! It's strange, I hate my periods, but there is a certain degree of mourning that I'm going through. I remember when I first got my period at 11 years old. Yes, I was young. Has anyone else gone through this, or am I totally flipping out?

Aunt Flo is currently having her last visit here, too!! IKWYM about kind of mourning the last visit. I had that the first day and then the next day my "flo" was so heavy, the bloating and cramps were awful!! I stopped mourning at that point and started rejoicing that it was the LAST time I would go through this EVER!!

Flipping out? No way.

I was also 11 when I first got my period (lucky me) and yes, I felt a little sadness at my very last one in August 2004.... has it been almost TWO years?

Best wishes for a successful surgery and speedy recovery, and may Aunt Flo be kind to you on her last "visit".

Yes, it is strange that we mourn something that is hurting us. But...she's been part of our lives for a very long time. My first visit from Aunt Flo was at 11 also, so that makes 32 years! But, it's time for her to go away and never come back. Good luck!

I also am having my surgery (tvh) on the 27th of june and aunt flo came yesterday. Here I was thinking I would never have another one and she came sneaking in. Am I going to miss her? Huh uh no way. I figured my bieng such a nervous wreck over worrying about the surgery and what comes after brought her on. Oh well not much longer to go. Best wishes to all..robyn

I had my surgery on 6/6/06 and Auntie Flo visited me 3 day before so of course she was there the day of surgery. The nurses all laughed and said it happens 9 times out of 10.

I too had my 1st period at 11, hmmmm... seems young and then here we are. But I'm looking forward to seeing her go. When she comes here it seems she brings a sister or two with her and they stay waaayy too long!

I had a visit from Aunt Flo the day before the surgery. I was so mad. I thought, "This couldn't have waited 2 more days????" Oh well, she was certainly gone by the time I woke up from surgery!

Did I mourn the loss of Aunt Flo??? NO WAY!!!! I've always hated it.
