Pain and Prolapsed Uterus??

Hi!
I am about a month away from my trip to the castle for a prolapsed uterus and bladder. My only problems in the past were excessive bleeding for the last 4 years (2 10 day periods a month) and urinary problems.
This morning I started cramping so bad I would have swore I was in labor. I have never experienced this kind of pain before. Luckily it ended in about an hour. I just got off my period 2 days ago so I don't think that is it.
My question is...have any of yall with prolapsed uterus problems ever had pain like this? I've got a call in to my Dr. but he is out of town this week so I'm not sure when I will be hearing back from his replacement.
Also, this is embarrasing...but did any of you with prolapse problems have pain during or after sex?
Thanks bunches,
Melissa

Pain and Prolapsed Uterus??

Melissa--First of all Welcome!
And yes yes yes! I get the horrid cramping, the pain during and after sex, and all of the other rotten things that go along with it. Like low back pain, and nausea from being in so much pain.
I thought I was in labor too! But you should still call your DD. Glad to hear you are.
Don't be embarrassed to ask anything on here!
I have asked some whoppers and so have other ladies. How can we know if we don't ask. Everyone is so nice here to offer answers or suggestions.
I found that by laying down with a pillow under my butt for awhile helps the pain go away.
I also found that putting a bag of frozen vegies in a fanny pak and stapping it to my behind and low back while I work is wonderful to control it before it hits.
Then we can just put the bag back in the freezer to re-freeze after. But if you use it, do put it in a ziplock first so as it melts you won't look like you peed your pants!
The pain during and after sex can be controlled by taking tylenol or pain med an hour before. Sometimes this works for me, but with endo, lately, nothing has worked!
Hope you feel beter and hang in there! We all need to get this done and over with eh?!!
Maybe the other ladies will be along soon to give more sugestions.
Love Peanut
