Insomnia

Hi all~

Well, I guess as I get closer to my date I'm starting to get nervous.

For the past three days I haven't been sleeping very well. I've been sleeping for a few hours, getting up, having a cup of tea, watching TV for a few hours and then going back to bed for a few hours.

Today I was soooo sleepy.

I am so thankful this site exists. It's so awesome to hear that others have gone through what I'm going through and come out with flying colors.

I'm taking a few vacation days before my surgery so I'll be able to rest a bit before going in. I am getting worried that I'll be tired and run down. As much as I wanted coffee today I didn't have any. I'm hoping I can get a good night's rest tonight.

Anyhow~thanks for listening.

Insomnia

Certs12, I hope you are able to sleep tonight. I keep reading that being rested is part of the healing process. My surgery is not until August and I wake up in the middle night with my mind racing with hundreds of worries. Sweet dreams and good luck with your surgery.

Insomnia

Hi there.....I hate insomnia!!!!!!! I have already been going to bed really late and not sleeping all that much. and I have 3 more weeks. If this continues or gets worse I will as my doctor for something to help me sleep. There are alot of non-addisciting short term meds out there...... ambien, lunesta......some people even take Xanez long term... I hate to resort to that, but there is nothing wrong with it if you can't sleep!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you feel better.... You are not alone
