Question - Not on any HRT and have no desire Not on any HRT and have no desire

Hi there! I'm new to this...I recently have lost all interest in sex. More specifically, I'm not in the mood. Like others, I find sex enjoyable, I just can't seem to get in the mood. I had my TAH/BSO 3 years ago and sex had never been a problem until recently. I am on no HRT and am not really interested in HRT. I tried it and I really found it just wasn't for me. Does anyone have any suggestions for OVER THE COUNTER remedies. Anything I could try from a supplement store or Pilgrims Nutrition? I'm embarrassed to go in and talk to the people that work there as they are generally in my age group and wouldn't understand why I would need it. Thanks so much for any information you can offer me!

Not on any HRT and have no desire

I'm in the same boat Pugdog and Darend, I went off hrt in March and I haven't had any desire to have sex since. I actually came on the board to ask the same question.

Not on any HRT and have no desire

Hi

Well, based on my own personal experience, my libido, response, desire was dead in the water until I found the right combination of hormone replacement (Vivelle Dot, 1% testosterone cream, and estrogen vaginal cream). In my humble opinion, and from reading what has worked for other women, replacing what our ovaries used to make seems to make the biggest difference with these issues.

If you are set against using hormone replacement therapy, however, you might want to check out Vielle products that are advertised on this site:

www.myscentuelle.com.

I've never tried over the counter products, but these products do sound interesting and may be worth a try.

Not on any HRT and have no desire

I am so frustrated about it. I made love with dh tonight, cause it will be a little while before I am up to it again. I am scheduled for knee surgery tomorrow and I know I won't be in the mood for a while.

I enjoy it when we get going, it is not as good as it used to be by FAR, but getting in the mood is miserable. No interest.

How did you get matched for Testerone cream? Can the doctor just order it?
