Cocoa butter best on scar?

Sisters, I would just like to share that after rubbing cocoa butter with vitamin E on my scar for weeks it is now a thing of beauty in so far as I can hardly see or feel it!
I hadn't seen any posts on this subject - does anyone else agree?

Cocoa butter best on scar?

What brands did you use. I know vitamin comes in the pill that you prick with a needle. But what about the cocoa butter?

Thanks

Cocoa butter best on scar?

I have heard that cocoa butter cream...and Vitamin E cream is good for the scar.

You have to be aware that when pricking an actual Vitamin E pill and rubbing it into your scar the Vitamin E is absorbed thru the skin and into the bloodstream. If you are already taking Vit. E as a supplement, you might be getting more then you need.

A friend of mine gave me shea butter and I will be trying that as well.

Its always good to get other suggestions from sisters

Cocoa butter best on scar?

I love cocoa butter. Works great. Unfortunately for me my skin keloids really bad after surgery and there is no hope for this condition. I'm going to be left with an ugly scar regardless. However, if I'm trading a scar for an bad ovary and uterus, I think it was a good trade.

My doctor actually redid the ugly scar my previous C-sections left me with, but its still not as pretty as someone who doesn't have a keloid problem.

scar help

Sisters, I used something called Aquaphor on my incision sites and they feel and look wonderful. They were itching badly and I was afraid to scratch so I kept adding the ointment and now no more itching. I told my doctor what I was using and he said it was fine but as always should make sure before using anything. Aquaphor is found at many pharmacies.
Good luck and don't loose hope!

Samila - sorry to hear about your scar problem. I have a bad one from sterilisation so was determined to try to improve this one.
I'm using Palmers Cocoa butter formula with vitamin E. I think its a US brand? It wasn't cheap but it smells lovely and has done the job!

I have been using Johnsons baby oil light mist on mine and its healing nicely. Still very red but then it is a huge scar and I doubt it will ever look nice but hey its better than all the problems i has pre-op.

Take care
