getting depressed

Please forgive me but I need to vent to someone other than family. I am four weeks out of surgery for tah and bladder suspension, two weeks ago my incision started bleeding out due to an infection. Long story short it resulted in a hospital stay that included IV antibiotics and two units of blood. It leaked for a few more days and seemed to be sealing itself. It has since leaked on and off, I have been to the doc he says it looks fine and is healing but I will go a 2-3 days and it will not leak and then it starts again. Yesterday after 3 days of nothing it started again and is still going. I feel helpless. I have been very careful not to do anything to aggrivate it and my dh has been fantastic. I just want this part of it to be done. Otherwise I am fine, just feeling very overwhelmed tonight.
Thanks for listening
Josie

I wanted to give you a big

I'm happy that you've been seeing the dr about it. Hopefully it wil finish healing soon. I remember that my incision took a coup[le of months to heal.

hey there...im am so sorry your going through this...my story is sorta similar...i developed mrsa staph in my incision, and ended up with 2 extra hospital stays, and 2 more surgeries besides my tah.the incision was left open to heal from the inside out...it is now finally almost closed...just about a 2 inch place that wont close...at any rate,i know first hand how depressing this can get,but keep your head up,i promise this will get better..make sure you keep a eye on it,and watch out for any more signs of infections......hang in there....sonie

Thank you all for the hugs and encouragement and I apologize for the pity party for myself. I just get overwhelmed with this. I feel like the dh is doing everything, because of the incision problems I am only allowed short walks, no housework etc. I talked to dh last night and he assured me that he didnt mind and all he wants me to concentrate on was healing. I am blessed with him. I am blessed to have this site.
Thanks
Josie
